Ethos, logos, and pathos are all used in the means to persuade others to take or to see a particular point of view. Toni Morrison uses pathos to persuade her adiance because she uses emotions to covey the story to the readers. In the essay she describes the emotions she felt though out her experience with meeting the stranger, like when she met the stranger she felt a "feeling of welcome" wash over her and after taking to the stranger she imagined a future of friendship but when that never happened she expressed that she felt cheated, puzzled, and amused which then soon turned to annoyance and bitterness. All of this was the use of pathos which helped her persuade the audience and make the audience see her point of view.
Yann Dall'Aglio take a different approach to persuade his audience by using ethos in the video Love-- your doing it wrong. In the video he uses ethos by being likable and relatable. He also state why he is credible and giving examples that help with his point like the escalope example he uses which was fun and easy to understand.
In Yann Dall'Aglio's piece I agree with you saying he uses ethos. By relating to the audience when joking about comparing his wife to escapolnes, he connects with the audience and is indeed likeable. Toni Morrison uses pathos not only to persuade but to describe and have the audience relate to her feelings.
