is your opinion about the proposed federal immigration polices to revoke DACA
protections? "I just don't think it's right to promise a group of
people the chance to stay in this country to just then take it away."

if anything, concerns you about immigration reform? "Honestly the scariest thing
about the reforms is the thought of all the families that are being torn apart
over papers."
3. Do
you feel undocumented individuals should be detained and deported?
"No, I don't believe anyone should be
detained and kept somewhere. But I do think that they need to go about coming
into this country legally so that this wont be an issue in their lives
anymore."
4. Do
you personally know someone who is living in the U.S. illegally? How does that
influence your opinion?
"My friend from high school
lives here illegally, I don't know the whole story but I know his family is
very protective of who he tells the truth to. Knowing him personally, it makes
me think about how many other normal kids could be kicked out of the country
even though it wasn't their choice to come here illegally."
6. With Texas State being an
Hispanic-serving institution, do you feel administrators are adequately serving
DREAMERS and protecting the student body?
"Protection isn't really the issue that I think about. I think the
teachers should do more to educate the students who
aren't Hispanic about what's going on in our government."
7. How do you feel about the White
Supremacy fliers that were posted on campus encouraging people to deport
undocumented citizens?
"I honestly
didn't see any of those fliers but I think its messed up and cruel for no
reason. White supremacy is a way bigger issue and the Texas State should really
have some sort of system to keep people in check."
